A DOCTOR who treats Covid-19 patients has claimed on social media that her best friend banned her from coming to her wedding because she was “scared” she’d infect everyone.
The Harvard resident had allegedly spent thousands of dollars at that point.

Dr. Emily Long, who is a plastic surgery resident, claimed in a video: “Tell me about a time you were uninvited from something because you work in the hospital during a pandemic. I’ll go first.
“Tomorrow, I was supposed to fly out straight from an 18-hour shift to my best friend’s big wedding events that I spent thousands of dollars on and took my vacation time, which is very limited, off to attend.
“And when I text her this morning to let her know that I was being tested and taking all these precautions before I flew in an attempt to make her feel comfortable, she totally freaked out when she found out that I take care of sick people – who would have thought that a doctor took care of sick people?
“So I was uninvited because I made a lot of people and her feel uncomfortable.”
Unfortunately, a bride was recently blasted on Reddit after she called her wedding day the best day of her life after there was a Covid outbreak during the special occasion.
The bride had written on her social media: “One week ago was the best day of our lives and despite the absolute mess of covid spreading I would relive it again and again.
“I am so very sorry to anyone that caught covid but we keep reminding ourselves that (1) we broke no rules as there are no restrictions (2) we didn’t force anyone to go (3) it was everyone’s personal choice.
“Some people have made us feel guilty for what happened but this was nothing we anticipated. We point no fingers as we know this was a risk.
“All we care about was no one was terribly sick. If we can get through this, honey we can get through it all.”
They finished with a winking emoji.
But people thought it was in bad taste.
“People are just now starting to get sick from an illness that can potentially kill them,” said one person. “They caught it at my irresponsible event. TEEHEE.”
Another person added: “While I agree everyone attending knew it was a risk, there is a right and wrong way to handle things after it happens….that wasn’t it.”
