A new podcast, “Fallen Angel,” delves into Victoria’s Secret’s ex-CEO Les Wexner and his close ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
A former executive named Cindy remembered being seated next to convicted sex offender Epstein at a birthday party for Wexner’s mother at a corporate cafeteria space and being invited to an exclusive afterparty at Wexner’s house.
“There was something that just didn’t seem right about it,” Cindy told the show’s co-hosts, journalists, Vanessa Grigoriadis and Justine Harman. “I was, if you will, the hired help. And my boss is having an afterparty to which he didn’t invite me? … I don’t even know who this guy is, so I declined.”
Cindy recalled another time Epstein allegedly contacted her on the phone explaining that he was frequently in Columbus, Ohio — where the lingerie giant was based — and “could use some female companionship.” When Cindy offered to introduce him to some telephone operators, he “very quickly got off the phone,” she said.
Epstein allegedly tried a third time with Cindy, inviting her to join him in Aspen for another Wexner bash, but she said she declined the offer.
The infamous financier was close pals with Wexner — so close that they both shared ownership of the enormous East 71st street mansion where a steady stream of underage girls was said to have been ushered in for Epstein’s perusal.
The multimillionaire financier died in prison in an apparent suicide on Aug. 10, 2019, while being held without bail pending trial for allegedly sexually abusing dozens of young girls. He had pleaded not guilty and was facing up to 45 years in prison.
The podcast produced by C13Originals and Campside Media also promises to explore the inside story of Victoria’s Secret by interviewing former models, some of whom the producers said were led down “a dangerous path of eating disorders, poor health, depression, anxiety and other issues.”
“Fallen Angel” launches on Oct. 13, with new episodes dropping every Wednesday.
