With just one week to go before the premiere of the Peacock original series “Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem,” Soap Opera Network can confirm exclusively that Noah Huntley has been cast as Lord Sebastian Alamain in the five-episode limited series spinoff of “Days of our Lives.”
In the first look trailer released by the streaming service last week, it was discovered that the Alamainian Peacock jewels were stolen in 1991 and that Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) was seeking John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) help in finding out where the jewels were after they’d fallen into the wrong hands. With the jewels sharing the Alamain name, it’s safe to say his Lordship will be involved in the hunt as well. How? You’ll just have to tune in to find out!
Securing his first acting gig when he was just a teenager in an episode of the series “Drummonds,” the West Sussex native starred in the “Ruth Rendell Mysteries” from 1987-1990 before joining the British soap opera “Emmerdale” as Luke McAllister from 1993-1995. From 2004-2005, he returned to his soap roots after appearing in several movies and TV shows, playing Will Curtis in the long-running drama “Holby City.”
In 2015, Huntley portrayed Alistair Lacey in the E! Entertainment original series “The Royals,” and in 2019 he starred in the Lifetime original movie, “Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal.” He most recently starred in The CW series “Pandora” portraying Professor Donovan Osborn over the show’s two-season 23-episode run.
In addition to Huntley, Shaughnessy, Hogestyn and Rinna, the show’s cast includes Deidre Hall as Marlena Evans, Jackée Harry as Paulina Price, James Reynolds as Abe Carver, Victoria Konefal as Ciara Brady Weston, Robert Scott Wilson as Ben Weston, Billy Flynn as Chad DiMera, Lamon Archey as Eli Grant and Sal Stowers as Lani Price. Eileen Davidson is also set to appear although her role has not been announced.
Other featured players include Thaao Penghlis as Tony DiMera, Leann Hunley as Anna DiMera, Christie Clark as Carrie Brady, Austin Peck as Austin Reed, Greg Rikaart as Leo Stark, Chandler Massey as Will Horton, and Zachary Atticus Tinker as Sonny Kiriakis. “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alum Jackie Cox is also set to appear along with Peter Porte (ex-Ricky Williams, “The Young and the Restless”) as ISA agent Kyle Graham. Cox is a Canadian drag queen famously known for their Lisa Rinna impersonation.
Episodes of “Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem” will release daily starting Monday, September 6 with the finale episode releasing on Friday, September 10. In the United States, the limited series will air exclusively on Peacock via its free and premium tiers. Canadian viewers will also get to tune in with episodes available simultaneously with the show’s U.S. release via the On Demand subscription streaming service STACKTV. Beginning in October, the series will air on W Network and will be available to stream on the Global TV App.
