Shopping online comes complete with the added perils of not having a chance to see the clothes in person before trying them on.
One woman knows this all too well after she was left in stitches from trying on her latest online order from popular clothing brand Pretty Little Thing.
TikToker Talia Webb (@taliawebb8) had ordered a green linen blazer and matching trousers she ordered, as part of PLT’s collaboration with social media influencer Molly-Mae Hague – who was recently announced as the clothing company’s Creative Director in the UK and Europe.
When it came to trying the outfit on, Talia was left amused at the outfit that appeared to be on the baggier side and creased from being folded up from the delivery.
(Though nothing a bit of styling, and an iron couldn’t fix, we imagine).
Talia appeared to agree as she captioned the video, writing: “Surely not… do think an iron would help!”
After posting an amusing comparison between Molly Mae’s styled outfit and her unstyled and unironed version on TikTok, it soon went viral with 1.2M views and nearly 95,000 likes.
In response, Talia received hundreds of comments, most notably from Molly Mae herself who reassured the TikToker by writing: “It just needs an iron babe.”
One person wrote: “You can’t just throw it on an expect it to look the same, iron it, roll the sleeves up, put a bralet on, make an effort even and it’ll look good [sic].”
“It looks good! Just style it up a bit,” another person said.
Someone else added: “I think celebs/influencers get better versions of these clothes than us.”
“I don’t think they get better quality items but guys it’s a photo for a campaign… it’s edited it’s gonna look different,” a fourth person commented.
