Pro cleaner’s oven hack leaves kitchen appliance gleaming without harsh chemicals

A professional cleaner has revealed how you can clean your dirty oven and make it look spotless – without using any “harsh” chemicals.

Kacie runs The Big Clean Co, which has more than 355,000 followers on TikTok who flock to see her tricks of the trade.

She previously left viewers stunned after sharing the “hidden” compartment inside everyone’s toaster.

And in her most recent upload, Kacie explained a simple method to clean a grimy oven that avoids using chemicals.

All she uses is washing up liquid, white vinegar, some scrapers and scourers.

The cleaner, from Melbourne in Australia, begins by placing a roasting tray filed with boiling water and vinegar into the middle of the oven.

The trick is using boiling water to steam-clean the oven

“Now when that charcoal is cold it is rock solid,” she said.

“So here’s what you’re going to do. Add one cup of boiling water and one cup of vinegar to a tray.

“Put it in a hot oven and let it do its thing for about 20 minutes.

“You’ll be left with this big mushy mess that scraps right off.”

And, sure enough, the black grime starts to scrape off.

To “really make it shine”, Kacie adds some dishwashing liquid and wipes down the surface.

She continued: “Don’t forget to let your oven cool a little so you don’t burn yourself.

“Use a scourer on the racks and for any bits that are stuck, use the blade.”

Kacie then reveals the result – a sparkling oven that looks as good as new.

Her fans loved the non-toxic approach to oven cleaning, with one writing: “Will have to try this. Moved into a rental and the oven looks gross and bits would flake off if the fan was on.”

It comes after cleaning fanatics shared a £1 hack that can easily remove rusty patches from baths.
