We’re at the point of the year where people are arguing over when it’s appropriate to put Christmas decorations up and if it’s too early for supermarkets to put out their festive stock.
And it is anticipated that a number of Scots will bring in the festive cheer early once again this year, because let’s face it… it’s been a rough 2021 for many.
For those seeking a bit of a Christmas pick-me-up, then Heart has come to the rescue with the launch of its radio station that is dedicated to non-stop plays of the biggest festive bangers.
Hearts Xmas will be playing the likes of Mariah Carey and Wham from now until December 27.
This year’s launch comes 10 days earlier than it did in 2020 – and we think it’s much-needed, given the disaster that was last year’s Christmas.
Although Scots are unable to access the the radio station on DAB Radio, there are many other ways to tune into the Christmas hits.
It will be available on Alexa, the Global Player app on smartphones, Google Home, Apple HomePod and Sonos Speakers.
Or you can have a listen in through the Global Player website.
If you are looking for the likes of East 17 and the Pogues when taking a wee trip down south, then you will be able to access the channel via DAB in the following locations:
- Berkshire and North Hampshire
- North Yorkshire
- South Yorkshire
- West Wiltshire
