The Real Housewives of Orange County are already shaping up for a better season than last year. Bravo took out the trash finally got rid of Kelly Dodd and Braunwyn Windham-Burke after the two spent last year competing on who could be the most insufferable cast member. Heather Dubrow is headed back to bring wealth, class, and free-flowing champs to the OC. And the show has reportedly added several new faces, two of whom were friends of Boringwind, to really make her exit sting.
Particularly, her old friend Noella Bergener has been hired to replace Braunwyn and is already bringing her own brand of drama to RHOC. Outside of her fallout from Braunwyn (and ruining B’s chances at a Season 16 cameo), Noella is headed into the show with a whole lot of baggage. Her husband James Bergener allegedly owes more than $5 million in back taxes. And the worst part — Noella claims she only learned about the financial issues via the press, not from the mouth of her husband, like the rest of us. Sounds like a textbook case of a messy marriage, and Noella has already cemented her storyline for Season 16.
And to add in even more chaos, TMZ reports that James filed for divorce from Noella last week. Oh lord. The dominoes just keep falling. The outlet allegedly obtained legal documents that state he filed from Puerto Rico and claims that James hasn’t been living in the OC in the home he shares with his wife. The two were married in June 2020 and share a 2-year-old son. TMZ reports that Noella was “blindsided” by the filing.
Noella hasn’t made any outright statements about the fall of her barely one-year-old marriage. But her edited Instagram bio gives us the idea that she’s not happy whatsoever, but who would be if they were in her shoes?

Her bio now reads, “Not so-Happy Housewife to Sweet James Sr. Mother to Little James, Coco & RiRi Based in OC.” She added the “not so” after the news of tax liens and divorce filings. So it looks like we have another Real Housewives star who is no longer a wife. It is pretty funny she didn’t just delete the bio whatsoever and still includes her soon-to-be ex-husband. Andy Cohen, you’re going to have a whole lot of questions to ask about this one.
