‘Return of the King’ – These Rangers fans react as Morelos starts v Dundee United

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has made a number of changes to the side that lost 2-1 to Malmo in Sweden on Tuesday night for today’s Premiership clash with Dundee United – and Gers fans on Twitter are delighted to see Alfredo Morelos back in the starting XI.

The Ibrox boss has named his side to take on the Arabs at Tannadice with Jon McLaughlin, Glen Kamara, Joe Aribo and Alfredo Morelos come into the starting XI with Allan McGregor, Scott Arfield, Scott Wright and Cedric Itten dropping to the bench,

With the return leg against the Swedes on Tuesday night, Gerrard’s selection for the Dundee United clash clearly has one eye on that.

Gerrard confirmed yesterday that Ianis Hagi and Ryan Jack would both miss out while Kamara returns to the squad after missing the Malmo game through suspension.

Surprisingly, there’s no place in the squad for Kemar Roofe, despite the striker being unavailable against Malmo through suspension – with Leon Balogun also missing from the squad completely.

Morelos has been absent since the end of last season, joining his teammates earlier this week after a stint in quarantine following his involvement in Copa America with Colombia.
