THE Real Housewives of Atlanta’s fans have remembered some of their favourite moments between NeNe Leakes and her husband, Gregg.
It was announced today that Gregg Leakes has passed away at the age of 66.
The couple’s longtime family friend Ernest Duke announced his passing after his battle with colon cancer.
Back in 2018, Gregg was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and despite going into remission after treatment, in June 2021, NeNe revealed that his cancer had returned
Gregg and NeNe had been married on and off since 1997 and after 24 years together, they decided to part ways in 2011.
Following their divorce, the couple patched things up and remarried in June 2013.
They have one son, Brentt, together while Gregg was also father to five other children from different relationships.
Following his passing, fans have remembered some of the cutest moments together.

For Halloween Gregg dressed as a large cockroach and NeNe an exterminator who went around ‘spraying’ him.
“We’re here to get these roaches up out of here,” Nene joked at the time.
Gregg looked adorable with one fan remembering: “My all time favorite Gregg moment.”

In one RHOA reunion, NeNe called on her husband to voice his support for her.
“Let ’em know Gregg, put the horn on the” as she turned to high five him, he shouted, “toot toot” and she responded with “boop, boop, bam” as she turned back to face the other housewives.

A tender moment between the couple saw them sneak off and cuddle on some lounges.
As Gregg lay down, NeNe leaned in to whisper to him, “honey, do you love me?” and he adorably whispered back, “yeah.”
Then she asked “what’s holding you back?” and had to repeat it several times.
“What’s wrong with my back?” a confused Gregg asked, as NeNe rolled her eyes in frustration.

One fan chose to share a fun moment of NeNe and Gregg dancing to Anthony Hamilton’s Best of Me in their giant walk in wardrobe.
Gregg serenades his wife beautifully and gazes at her lovingly as they groove to the tune.
The fan wrote: “Prayers to the Leakes Family. Always Loved me some Nene & Gregg.”
Gregg’s death comes just days after OnSite obtained video where NeNe, 53, was heard addressing a crowd about her husband’s health after many called her “rude” for not not acknowledge a birthday in a crowd at her Atlanta lounge, The Linnethia.
“My husband is transitioning to the other side,” she said. “You don’t know what we’re dealing with right now. We walked in this lounge because we had to walk in this lounge because this is our business.
“So, when people approach and say, ‘You’re rude because you don’t want to say happy birthday,’ my husband is at home dying. I don’t want to say ‘Happy birthday,’ okay?”
STAGE 3
Back in 2018, Gregg was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and despite going into remission after treatment, in June 2021, NeNe revealed that his cancer had returned and the recent video indicates that he has taken a turn for the worse.
“He’s been in the hospital for a week, tomorrow,” NeNe told The Jasmine Brand during an Instagram Live back in June.”I’m sure he’ll be home in about a week or so. He had to have a surgery.”
Many RHOA fans saw Gregg’s cancer battle throughout the show’s 11th season along with the toll it took on their relationship, almost leading to a second divorce.
Outside of being known as NeNe’s husband, Gregg was an American real estate investor and reality television personality.
With over 20 years of experience in the Atlanta, Georgia area, Gregg was able to accumulate an estimated net worth of $4 million.
