REAL Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Erika Jayne is in some hot water this month as a result of her estranged husband.
Tom Girardi’s law firm is now estimated to be over $101 million in debt after it was alleged that Erika spent over $25 million of the company’s money.
The 82-year-old was disbarred, losing his right to practice law earlier this month after he was declared bankrupt, owing millions in liabilities and his belongings are being auctioned in an attempt to raise funds.
The former attorney’s law firm, Girardi & Keese found that the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star had spent over $25,000,000 on her own company.
The extortionate amount that Erika Jayne is claimed to have spent, supposedly funded assistants and a glam squad, according to a letter sent to her lawyer.
The $25 million that was allegedly gifted to the singer to spend on her company, EJ Global LLC, was included as a debt.
Tom’s law firm owes $101 million in total liabilities, which is roughly $91 million more than Girardi’s total property assets.
From 2008 to 2020 $14,259,012.84 was charged to the 50-year-old’s American Express card, spending another $1,417,587.50 on unknown purchases.
A lawyer backing Tom’s company stated “Mrs. Girardi signed under penalty of perjury the return and personally approved the charges allocated to the breakdown”.
Jayne’s attorney claimed that “no money whatsoever went to Erika,” and that she had no role in her husband’s company.
Jayne and Girardi filed for divorce in November 2020 after 20 years of marriage.
Soon after the pair divorced, they were both accused of embezzlement of funds meant for Lion Air Flight 610 victims through their “sham” divorce.
Jayne claimed she had no idea that her husband had stolen any money, screaming “shut the f*** up” at Sutton Stacke after being accused.
It has been reported that the firm’s records were so poorly kept and outdated that the “actual total may be different than the listed total.”
