That’s right, savvy mum Carolina McCauley has revealed her genius towel hack which she claims cuts down drying time by a whopping 30 per cent.
In a viral TikTok video, the Australian mum says she always pops a “clean dry” towel in the dryer with her wet clothes to speed up the process.
She captioned the clip: “Laundry hack. How to speed up drying time.
“If you add a clean, dry towel at the beginning of your drying cycle, then start the dryer, the towel helps to absorb moisture.”
15 minutes into the cycle, Carolina then removes the towel and lets the spin continue as usual.
She claimed: “This speeds up the drying time by 30 per cent.”
And if the prospect of saving time wasn’t enough, Carolina’s hack also cuts back on energy too.
Unsurprisingly, the life hack was a hit with the mum’s 1.3m followers.
“Wow thank you,” one replied. “I needed this.”
Another gushed: “Amazing as usual!”
Meanwhile, a third wrote: “My dad taught me this growing up, and seeing it has made me nostalgic.”
