Whilst Maddison wins yet another trophy with Leicester, rumours have been flying about that Arsenal are trying to do a deal for the £70 million-rated player.
Maddison spent just over 70 minutes on the pitch yesterday and those from North London liked what they saw from the quick-footed playmaker.
But some Arsenal supporters questioned why Maddison would swap the King Power for the Emirates given where his club currently are, in Europe and with another trophy to their name.
At the end of the day, the Gunners will always have that lure that they are a big club.
But at some point, it will affect them in their quest to sign big-name players, especially given that they aren’t competing in Europe.
As Maddison displayed against Man City, he has the bravery to get on the ball in pressure situations, carry it forward and look to put the opposition on the back foot.
Mikel Arteta needs that forward-thinking style in his midfield because he can’t rely too much on Emile Smith Rowe or youngster Bukayo Saka out wide.
