Some Aston Villa fans are reacting on Twitter after Jack Grealish completed his first training session at Manchester City.

In what is the biggest deal of the summer transfer window in England so far, City signed the Aston Villa academy product for £100 million a little earlier this week.

Because Grealish was one of their own, a lot of Villa fans are devastated to see him leave the Midlands, irrespective of how much money they received.

Some sections of the fanbase have reacted angrily and have posted videos of themselves burning Aston Villa shirts with Grealish’s name on the back.

But the majority of supporters seem fully behind the 25-year-old, no matter the hurt.

On Friday, Grealish took part in his first session under Pep Guardiola and reacted to it on Twitter afterwards.

Here’s how some Aston Villa fans responded:

Pressure

There’s huge pressure on Grealish, but this is a player with a stellar mentality and he’ll be able to hack it at Eastlands.

His competitive debut could potentially come against Tottenham Hotspur in North London in only eight days time.

Ironically, Spurs could – and should – have signed the England international back in 2018, when their lowest offer was infamously £3 million plus Josh Onomah.

Now, he is officially a nine-figure footballer and he’ll look forward to proving that to the Lilywhites up close on Sunday week.
