Well, some Arsenal fans are well on board with the idea of signing Bernardo Silva from Manchester City this summer.
According to The Mirror, the Gunners could end their pursuit of Leicester City’s James Maddison and focus on the Etihad Stadium star.
Arsenal absolutely need a creative spark this summer after failing to keep Martin Odegaard on a permanent basis, despite Emile Smith Rowe extending his contract to stay in North London.
And suffice to say that some Gooners are loving the idea of Silva – who has three Premier League titles under his belt at Manchester City – coming to the Emirates Stadium.
Here’s what a handful of supporters are saying:
Better than Maddison?
With Leicester valuing Maddison at £60 million, this really might be a better move, yes.
Not only does he have a wealth of trophy-winning experience, the like of which Arsenal need, but he’s also a very good footballer.
And if he’s available for less than Maddison, then it’s just a no-brainer from the Gunners’ perspective.
There’s a lot of tosh being written about in regards to transfers right now, as you might expect.
But you can understand Arsenal fans’ desire for this one to be true.
