Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that former Spurs head coach Mauricio Pochettino could soon work with Lionel Messi.

What’s the story?

Messi has left Barcelona and has been strongly linked with a move to French giants PSG.

BBC Sport have reported that PSG are in talks with the representatives of Messi to sign the Argentina international on a free transfer.

Pochettino is in charge of PSG at the moment.

The former Tottenham head coach was appointed the manager of the Ligue 1 outfit in January 2021.

What are Tottenham Hotspur fans saying?

Some Tottenham fans have been having their say on Twitter on the prospect of Pochettino working with one of the greatest players of all time.

Below are some of the best comments:

Succeeding at PSG

Pochettino did well during his time at Tottenham, and there was little surprise when there was speculation that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy wanted the Argentine back at the club this summer.

Nuno was eventually appointed the new head coach of Spurs, while Pochettino is still at PSG.

The former Southampton boss was very successful at Spurs, making them regulars in the Premier League top four and also guided them to the Champions League final in 2019.

Pochettino will be looking to win Ligue 1 and the Champions League with PSG this season.

If Messi joins, the Argentine will feel confident and probably more pressure to get the job done.
