University is often thought of as an institution that boasts a high quality of learning or for some, three years of freedom and getting on the sesh.
With Brits now having to fork out £9,250 a year to get an undergraduate degree, students expect to get their money’s worth.
After students around the UK were stuck at home behind their laptops on Zoom led lectures for the majority of this and last year due to Covid-19 lockdowns, many are eager to get back to face to face learning.
However, for this one civil engineering student their lecture was far from what they had expected.
Posting under the username @zambo4kt on Twitter, the uni student attached a snap of a Kahoot quiz that asked students ‘What is Scooby Doo’s real name?’
The child-like question gave the university students four options enabling them to choose from; ‘Scooby Dooby’ , ‘Scoobert Doo’ , ‘Scoobert Doobert’ and ‘Scooby Dooberdane.’
Hardly something to expect on an engineering degree!
Unsatisfied with the quality of ‘learning’ on their course, the student captioned the post: “Never going in again.”
The tweet has now gone viral on Twitter having racked up 234,000 likes and 16,000 retweets.
Having hit a nerve, many people took to the comments to express their thoughts on the unusual teaching material.
One person commented: “Imagine making the effort to actually turn up for a 9am lecture only for it to be this.”
Another user added: “This has to be a joke please.”
A third person said: “Lol I mean, if this was the coursework all day everyday, I think I’d be upset. But if we’re working hard all week and my teacher threw this into the study material, I think I’d laugh at the silliness of it and appreciate the mental break.”
While, someone else noted: “Uni is a SCAM, I been saying this for a min now, I spent 3 years listening to someone read from a board or out of a book.”
Meanwhile, a fifth person stated: “I hope you’re joking uno.”
However, some people were concerned about Scooby Doo’s real name rather than the content of the degree.
One person said: “It’s Scooby Dooby Doo wtf did these people not watch the Scooby Doo movie.”
Although, another user commented: “It’s Scoobert Doobert.”
While, someone else thought: “Has to be Scoobert Doobert surely!!”
We can reveal that the well-loved animated dog’s real name is actually Scoobert Doo, not Scoobert Doobert or Scooby Dooby Doo like some thought.
Who thought a uni quiz would cause quite the stir!
