TEEN Mom Farrah Abraham and her daughter, Sophia, reunited with her late baby daddy Derek’s family 12 years after his death.
Derek died in 2008 following a tragic car accident.

Farrah’s only child took to her Instagram Stories to share various now-deleted snaps, however, Reddit was able to grab one of them, which included the tween posing with Derek’s dad, Jerry.
“Love You Grandpa,” the 12-year-old wrote over the photo showing her next to a smiling Jerry.
Fans were all about the pic, as they took to the comments section to react, with one person writing: “I’m really glad she still spends time with him.”
Another added: “I’m glad Sophia gets one little bit of normalcy in her life, even if it’s rare occurrence that she gets to be around it.
“Maybe when she’s a bit older she’ll grow closer to Daddy Derek’s side of the family, leading her to a better, more normal life? Wishful thinking?”
Derek was only 18 years old when he passed away in a car accident, one month before their daughter Sophia was born.
On December 28 of that year, he allegedly lost control of his car while he was driving.
It skidded and flipped over onto a power pole, killing Derek and fellow passenger Zachary Mendoza.

In May of 2021, Farrah and Sophia visited Derek’s resting spot on his birthday, decorating his headstone with Happy Birthday balloons and signs.
The Teen Mom OG alum shared a clip of the visit, and said: “He was not only a gift to a mother at one time, but he is a reminder he gave me one of the biggest gifts of my lifetime.”
The former MTV star described herself as a mother who has “lonely days, sad days,” on top of “frustrating” days.
On the 12th anniversary of Derek’s death, Farrah honored his memory in a video shared on social media.
In the video, Farrah and Sophia stood with Derek’s parents under a street sign made in his honor.
‘YOU ARE STRONG’
Breaking down in tears, the mother of one said: “I hope you know you are strong, it’s healthy to feel many emotions & even over many years, decades even with trauma therapy, anti-depressants it’s normal to be sad especially around holidays, coldness, darkness possibly when the tragic event happened.”
She concluded: “Wishing the loved one was there and new challenges unforeseen. Peace and positivity your way.”
Prior to reuniting with Derek’s family, Farrah set fire to her Harvard sweater and called the teachers “sexiest bullies”
