A TEN-day-old baby boy has died in hospital with police probing his “unexplained” death.
The newborn was rushed to hospital from a house in Preston, Lancs, after being found unresponsive on Tuesday.
Tragically he couldn’t be saved and was declared dead shortly after.
Police have confirmed they are treating his death as unexplained.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: “We were called by the ambulance service at around 2.05am on Tuesday, September 21 to reports a ten-day-old boy had been found unresponsive at an address on Lockside Road, Preston.
“He was taken to hospital but sadly died a short time later.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and our enquiries are ongoing.”
