The Irish Athleisure Brand Niall Horan Is Backing
In April, singer Niall Horan announced he was taking a minority stake in the Irish athleisure brand Gym+Coffee. Speaking with Fashion United about the venture, Horan stated, “I’ve been a fan of Gym+Coffee for some time both as a brand and a business. I love the idea of the community they created around the brand and their goals to Make Life Richer.” He added, “I realized there were some good synergies between us, and the relationship took off from there, ending with me investing into the company and becoming part of the team.”
Chief executive officer of Gym+Coffee Niall Horgan (yes, these two almost share the same name!) was thrilled when the One Direction singer expressed interest in backing the brand. “He is what we aspire to become as a business,” Horgan said. “We hope that with his guidance and direction Gym+Coffee can emulate some of the success he’s had and proudly represent Ireland internationally” (via WWD).
The company announced in July that they’re opening their first Northern Ireland store in Belfast, which will add to the nine stores they’ve already established across Ireland and England (via Belfast Telegraph). Clearly, this partnership is already paying off!
