This Magic-Nets trade is centered around Mo Bamba

The Brooklyn Nets are one of the best teams in the NBA and will likely enter next season as the favorites to win the NBA title. They already have a star-studded trio in place with hopes of great things. Now, the Nets could continue to make big moves to improve further. The Orlando Magic could line up in a trade this offseason.

The Nets have made plenty of moves other than just getting their big three in place. Blake Griffin was added last season and will be back. Kevin Durant recently signed a four-year extension and it is likely that Kyrie Irving and James Harden will follow the trend.

Brooklyn is in a position to be successful for the next half decade and beyond. There is not much that they need but that does not mean that the front office should just sit on their hands.

As for the Magic, they are in full rebuild mode and that means sending away some assets that are leftover. They were big-time sellers at the NBA trade deadline. Nikola Vucevic and Aaron Gordon were sent away. Evan Fournier was also traded and ended up signing a free-agent deal with the New York Knicks.

The Magic will have a new-look core led by Cole Anthony and Jalen Suggs, who was taken with the fifth pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. Orlando is going to take some time to get back to the postseason but there are plenty of moves to be made right away.

These two teams trending in very different directions could get together for a trade to help both sides. Let’s take a closer look and see how this deal could happen this offseason between the Nets and Magic.
