This video of woman yelling at her father during floods goes viral

In the past couple of weeks New Jersey has been hit with unprecedented levels of rainfall due to the remnants of Hurricane Ida hitting the state.

Although there has been lots of devastation caused by the flooding, it seems that some people have been more chilled about the situation than others.

One such person was captured in a video that was posted to TikTok by user Samantha Soth on September 2, which has garnered more than 7.4 million views.

In the clip, which can be watched here, we see her father lounging about in an inflatable dinghy on a flooded street.

However, his period of relaxation doesn’t last long, for a woman’s voice can soon be heard yelling: “Get out. Now!”

The caption to the hilarious clip reveals that the woman is Soth’s mother and she is demanding her partner get out of the boat as there is a tornado warning.

She wrote: “My mom yelling at my dad during a tornado warning only my dad,” with two laughing-face emojis.

The father’s actions have gained lots of traction online since the footage was posted by the 29-year-old, having already been liked by a whopping 1.3 million people.

More than 11,900 comments have been left beneath the video, with many people sharing their amusement at the man’s devil-may-care attitude.

One TikTok user, K-Flan, wrote: “He’s like: See I told you I’d find a use for this.”

Another person, Citydevils, added: “He looks like he’s having a good time in his new swimming pool!”

Stacey Hurlman typed: “If you can’t beat them join them lamo,” alongside a string of laughing-face emojis.

Riley observed: “No because this is a whole mood.”

Daddy revealed: “If the water was not so disgusting I would do the same.”

Nolann stated: “My neighbors and I went body boarding.”

User2489798036723 joked: “Bahaha he’s living his best life!”

Lyndsay Devine commented: “This is great if I was your neighbor I’d be joining and grabbing a cold beer lol.”

Another flood-related video that recently went viral showed a man persisting with his weightlifting workout despite his gym being half-submerged in water.

In footage posted to the app on September 2, you can see U.S.-based bodybuilder Tommy James, known on the app as Fathergainz, lifting a heavy barbell weight surrounded by flood water.

In the clip James declares “hurricanes are a choice.” The footage has already amassed 5.9 million views and 1 million likes.
