Tiger Woods‘ mistress, Rachel Uchitel, just broke her silence on details of the explosive $8 million settlement agreement she entered into with the golfer to keep details of their affair a secret.
The 46-year-old reality star and entrepreneur sat down with the New York Times to discuss her eventual years of legal and financial trouble following the highly publicized affair with the greatest golfer who ever lived. The stunning report outlines Rachel’s attempt to salvage her reputation as she fights with Woods’ team of lawyers and pressure from her high-profile attorney.
According to Uchitel, a lawyer for Woods is attempting to file a claim against her for breaching the $8 million nondisclosure agreement. Back in 2009, Rachel signed a 30-page agreement that barred her from talking about Woods, At the time, she was represented by Gloria Allred, who is a famous attorney specializing in celebrity cases. The reality star claims she received $5 million upon signing the agreement with an additional $1 million annually for the three years following it.
“I’m not an idiot, I’m not a hooker, I’m not a prostitute. I was and am a very smart girl and that’s why I negotiated $8 million because I knew it was going to affect my life,” she said.

The payment schedule is normal in these types of cases, which will guarantee the party won’t disclose any information in the years to come.
“His lawyers are saying, ‘We want all your text messages, and here’s the price,’” she recalled. Adding, “and you’re like ‘screw you’ and you move into deal-maker mode and all of a sudden, it’s the rest of your life.”
But, years later, Uchitel said she “had it with the N.D.A’s” and decided to reveal the private information, including a 2019 appearance on HBO’s two-part documentary, “Tiger.” She claims the deal she signed is a result of “a culture of extreme bullying.”

As for the deal, Rachel says it prohibited her from speaking “directly or indirectly, verbally or otherwise” about the golfer’s “lifestyle, proclivities, customs, private conduct, fitness, habits, sexual matters and familial matters.” Plus, she was barred from discussing it with anyone, “including but not limited to, family members, relatives, acquaintances, friends, associates, co-workers, journalists.”
The problem is…she didn’t exactly get the entire $8 million. To start, she owed $1 million of the amount to Gloria Allred and only walked away with $2 million after all was said and done. Plus, Woods’ attorney’s “balked” at the first payment due the next year.
In the end, Tiger’s lawyers requested the $5 million be paid back after claiming she breached the agreement by speaking out about the affair. At that time, she had a falling out with Allred and went into mediation with both legal teams to argue the issues. She claims she was “duped” by her own team and said, “It has nothing to do with not getting the rest of the payout. It’s that I feel, ultimately, like I was bullied.”
Rachel Uchitel Continues To Fight The Case
Now, Rachel has filed for bankruptcy claiming she has spent the money she received from Tiger — and the golfer’s legal team is zeroing in on the case, telling a judge in May they were not properly informed in a timely manner of the filing, and it appears they will be going after the money they claim to be owed.
