Was Todd’s wife Julie really the reason Lindsie exited Chrisley Knows Best?
The story of why Lindsie Chrisley walked away from Chrisley Knows Best was discussed during her interview with Dr. Phil a few years ago. We did a report on the details of that interview when it happened. The drama surrounding Lindsie and her family, however, has caused the question of why she walked away from the show and her family to resurface. So, why did Todd’s estranged daughter walk away from the show? Well, the answer to this question really depends on who you believe as it is very much a he said/she said situation.
Todd Chrisley blames jealousy, fame, and sibling rivalry
While one could argue the reason why Lindsie Chrisley walked away from Chrisley Knows Best is “old news.” It was Todd and Julie Chrisley that revived the question when they discussed Lindsie during a recent interview. Todd brought up Lindsie leaving the show and walking away from her family. He claims that everything started over a bit of a war between Lindsie and Savannah. The family rose to fame, hopped on social media, and Savannah quickly grew a much larger following than her sister Lindsie. Todd explains that Lindsie had a hard time with this and jealousy got the best of her. So, one thing led to another, and she walked away from both the show and the family.
Now, Todd Chrisley is adamant that he loves his daughter and he’ll always be there for her if she needs him. Moreover, he admits during both his podcast and interviews that the current situation breaks his heart. But, he has receipts and proof to back up his side of the story. And, he refuses to let anyone drag the Chrisley name through the mud.
Lindsie Chrisley tells a different story, blames stepmother Julie

During the interview, Lindsie discusses how things really played out when the reality TV show became a thing. Likewise, she cleared the air on people’s assumption that her husband Will was the reason her family fell apart. Lindsie notes that she accepted the fact that her father did not like Will and vice versa. She admits that she loved both her husband and her family. So, she did what she could to keep her two lives separate. This way she could continue to keep both her husband and her father in her life.
Lindsie Chrisley, however, clarifies her husband Will had nothing to do with the falling out. Nor was he the reason she walked away from the show. Turns out, her stepmother Julie is who she blames for walking away from the show. Lindsie Chrisley reveals to Dr. Phil there was an altercation involving Julie. According to Katie Joy of Without A Crystal Ball, Julie Chrisley allegedly got physical with Lindsie on set. Lindsie noted that the altercation happened after the cameras stopped rolling. And, her stepmother Julie denies the altercation ever happened.
As we mentioned previously, this is a he said/she said type of situation. There is no documented proof of the altercation between Julie and Lindsie. But, there also isn’t documentation it didn’t happen either.
