Tom Holland may or may not have confirmed his rumoured relationship status with Spider-Man co-star Zendaya in a sweet message for her 25th birthday, and fans of the pair are thrilled.
On 1st September, Holland posted via Instagram a cute photo of themselves together on set in their dressing room, with Holland wearing his iconic Spider-Man suit and Zendaya hold the camera up to her face and smiling.
In the caption accompanying the photo, the 25-year-old wrote: “My MJ, have the happiest of birthdays. Gimme a call when your [sic] up xxx”
MJ is in reference to Zendaya’s character otherwise known as Michelle Jones in the Marvel Cinematic Universe who plays Spiderman’s love interest.
Her character appears together with Holland’s Spiderman in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home, and also both star in the latest film in the franchise: Spider-Man: No Way Home, which will be released in December.
It’s fair to say his 46.7M followers, are ecstatic with his public display of affection for the actress – particularly due to the fact he referred to Zendaya as “My MJ.”
So much so, that “My MJ” became the No.1 trending topic on Twitter due to the overwhelming number of reactions.
Over the years, rumours flew around about the pair dating but both always denied these claims in the past.
The A-list pair appeared to confirm their relationship in July this year after they were photographed kissing as they left Zendaya’s mothers house and were also spotted kissing in a car in LA.
More recently, the pair were spotted together over the weekend at a friend’s wedding in Simi Valley, Daily Mail reported.
Meanwhile, Zendaya was busy working on the set of Euphoria on her special day and posted a behind the scenes photo to her Instagram story, writing: “No place I’d rather be on my bday… 20 more mins.”
