Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer was a trending Twitter topic over the weekend.
After the Jaguars suffered a 24-21 loss to the Bengals on Thursday — the team’s fourth straight loss to start the season — Meyer appeared to let loose with some friends in viral photos online.
In one video, Meyer appears to be sitting on a barstool, as a blonde woman is dancing on him. Another photo shows Meyer posing alongside a blonde, with the caption, “Who is this he keeps flirting with me.”
Other photos show the coach posing with various women.
The video caught the attention of ESPN analyst Booger McFarland, who tweeted, “Nothing like a Thursday night game and the weekend off.”
An official with the Jaguars said Sunday morning that the team will not be issuing a statement or clarification on the timeline regarding the video, according to the Florida Times-Union.
Meyer’s wife Shelley was home babysitting the couple’s grandkids. She tweeted photos of their daughter, Nicki’s sons, Troy and Gray — and appeared to acknowledge her husband’s night on the town.
“Meanwhile, I am babysitting,” she tweeted, adding the hashtags, “My choice,” “Mimi rules,” and “buddy deserved a night out.”
She added a few emojis, including a crying-laughing face, red heart and flexed muscle.
Shelley’s tweet was in response to a photo of Meyer with friends in his hometown of Ohio. According to the caption, he was attending a friend’s birthday celebration.
Meyer will speak to the media on Monday in a press conference ahead of Week 5.
The Jaguars had the weekend off, following Thursday’s loss to the Bengals, which Meyer called “heartbreaking.”
Jacksonville plays host to the Titans on Sunday.
