Walmart employee reveals they know when people steal from the self-checkout registers
HAVE you ever been tempted to sneak a few extra items into your shopping bag when going through the self-checkout line?
Of course you haven’t, but if anyone did try to steal, employees at the store would immediately know.
Taking to social media, a TikTok star, calling himself the Walmart Guy, revealed that as a self-checkout attendant, he knows when people steal because it shows up on their handheld monitor.
The Walmart employee showed two different clients using their self-checkout registers and then showed the small monitor he had that let him know what each person was buying.
The screen revealed the cash register number, the products being bought, and the total of their shopping spree.
However, when he filmed the people at the cash register, they had far more products in their carts than the ones registered in his monitor.
He said: “We know when you’re stealing.”
He added that another giveaway of someone stealing is when they scan small-priced items multiple times but avoid scanning the more pricey things.
In a second video, he revealed that if someone swipes an item in the cash register but then removes it so they don’t have to pay for it, they still see the item being removed.
