WELCOME to Plathville is back for its third season on TLC.
The show first aired back in 2019 and has since followed the Plath family as parents Barry and Kim raise their family under strict religious rules.
Welcome to Plathville recap – What happened in tonight’s episode?
Season 3 episode 1 aired on Tuesday August 17, 2021.
A recurring theme from the episode was Ethan and Olivia.
The show opened up on the couple talking about their relationship and Ethan’s estrangement from his family because of his marriage.
Olivia revealed to her husband that she wants to go to therapy to talk about things and admits the couple might be drifting apart.
Episode 1 also gives fans an updated on Moriah’s relationship with Max.
The couple are seen showing a lot of affection towards each other while having dinner at the Plath house.
Max tells both Micah and Moriah’s sister Lydia about his plans to give her a promise ring. Micah, who is still pursuing a modeling career, makes a joke about how his siblings aren’t winning at relationships because he has “scored more,” since moving out of the house.
Last season, Lydia had revealed that she was concerned about her relationships with her siblings who had left home and convinced her parents to buy her a cell phone to stay in contact.
The episode reveals that Lydia and Moriah have since started to see each other more often.
It also revealed that Lydia started a job at an auto shop.
At the end of the episode, Ethan was seen at the auto shop where Lydia works, which is the first time the two have seen each other following his confrontation with his parents at the end of last season.
