WELCOME to Plathville’s Ethan and Olivia Plath are still living in their Georgia home near his estranged parents despite their past plans to move to Florida.

The parents didn’t agree with her influence on their son and the other children, leading to their estrangement from them since the second season of the show.

Ethan and Olivia, 23, became upset when Barry and Kim moved off their farm and into a home just minutes from the couple.

Despite Ethan and Olivia’s plans to move out of state, The Sun can exclusively reveal they still own the Cairo, Georgia home.

According to property records, Ethan bought the home on April 4, 2018 for $109,000.

The two-bedroom, one-bathroom home is 1,475 square feet and sits on 0.72 acres of land.

The kitchen features wood cabinets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and a kitchen island.

Ethan even built a deck in the backyard and posted the progress on Instagram.

PLANS TO MOVE

Ethan and Olivia have been open about their desire to move away from his estranged parents.

They told People in an interview in December 2020: “The house is about ready to go on the market. We were kind of waiting until the end of Christmas because it was all crazy around here and we just figured let’s not stress ourselves out at the end of Christmas.

“We’ve been working on getting it ready all fall, so the house is ready to go on the market when we get home.”

They continued: “I think we definitely will go over the border into Florida, closer to Ethan’s work and kind of maybe just find a lease for a year and ride it out and visit other places and not rush so fast. I mean, we’re really young.”

But the home was never put on the market, according to real estate websites.

On the season three premiere, which aired last week, the couple expressed their desire to move again.

Olivia said: “For the sake of our marriage thriving, we really need to be out of Cairo. Last year when Ethan and I were looking to move we found a house in Thomasville, but the seller accepted another offer.

“Since then we haven’t found anything we like. I feel like renting in Tallahassee might just be a better option. Let’s forge out what we want then let’s figure out where we want to go after that.”

But Ethan wasn’t completely on board with the idea, as he said in his confessional: “Olivia is really pushing for Tallahassee I’m not exactly on the same page. I would prefer more of a rural setting or small town.”

Olivia said in her confessional: “We both each want a different plan and I think that’s scary because if you’re striving for two different goals you’re going to grow apart and I think that’s where we are in our relationship right now.”

MARITAL ISSUES

Ethan and Olivia have been facing marital issues this season, as he has struggled with his estrangement from his siblings.

Ethan said: “Something that I think about quite often is the relationship I gave up with my siblings for my marriage and honestly it pisses me off to no end. I kind of feel like my mom used my younger siblings as leverage to get me to do what she wanted me to do.

“She told me, you won’t be able to see your younger siblings until we’re okay and we’re okay means you guys just do what we want and then we’ll all be alright. That’s just messed up.”

Barry, 53, and Kim, 48, raised their nine children on their 57-acre farm in Whigham, Georgia with no computers, video games and other modern amenities.

Children Micah, 20, and Moriah, 18, moved out of the family home to live a more modern lifestyle.

Though their parents don’t agree with their choices, they do visit them often.
