Who are Chloe and Halle?

Chloe and Halle are a group of two sisters known for their keening harmonies and expansive range.

The sisters got their start by posting covers on YouTube that eventually attracted Beyoncè’s attention in 2013.

After being discovered by Beyoncé, the group rose to instant fame and have become fan favorites, including grabbing the attention of former First Lady Michelle Obama, who is a big fan.

While the two might look like twins, they are actually just sisters as Chloe is two years older than Halle.

Their debut album was released on March 23, 2018, and their second studio album was released two years later.

Their most recent single, Waterfalls, was released on June 3, 2021.

What happened to Chloe Bailey and Halle?

In a recent interview with the Breakfast Club, the sisters explained the reasoning behind the creation of their separate social media accounts, a decision that came after the group announced back in January 2021 they would be separating their lives.

“[The distance] led us to create our own Instagram pages so we would be able to do our Lives together still,” Halle said in the interview.

The success of their separate Instagram accounts then led them to create separate Twitter accounts.

“What I really appreciate with Halle and I is even when we are together constantly we never try to have each other compromised,” Chloe added in. “We are both so alike and so similar, but we’re also so different. … And how we are as individuals shine through with our group and people are getting to know us more individually as well.”

While the two are still releasing music together, they are working on their solo career as well.

Chloe just recently released her debut single, Have Mercy, on September 10, 2021.

Do Chloe and Halle know Beyoncé?

Throughout their successful career, the sisters have been mentored by Beyoncé.

Before their stardom, Chloe and Halle posted covers on YouTube and their rendition of Beyoncé’s Pretty Hurts caught the stars attention.

Chloe revealed to Rolling Stone back in 2016 that after Béyonce discovered their cover and posted it on her Facebook page, they landed themselves a record deal with her Parkwood Entertainment label the following year.

During Beyoncé’s Formation tour, Chloe and Halle also performed during the European shows back in 2016, they were also later featured in videos for her album Lemonade alongside Serena Williams, Zendaya, Winnie Harlow and Amandla Stenberg.
