She claimed by releasing Black Widow in theaters and simultaneously releasing the movie on their streaming service Disney+, the company cut back on box office sales.
In her claims, Johansson alleged Disney used Black Widow to promote their streaming service to get more subscribers and keep existing viewers.
Disney settled the breach of contract lawsuit on September 30, 2021 and the representatives for the company said they intend to continue working with Johansson on future films.
