What you should actually use narrow kitchen cupboards for, according to homeowners

Many of us have those handy narrow kitchen cupboards in our property – but what are they actually meant to be used for?

Well homeowners have had their say as they gave their views on a Mrs Hinch Facebook group.

Fans of the cleaning influencer use the groups to share their cleaning hints and hacks.

However, they also share handy suggestions of how to keep the house organised and tidy.

One member posted in the group about her narrow kitchen cupboards, asking if anyone knew what they were actually used for.

She asked: “Does anyone have one of these narrow kitchen cupboards, and if so what do you use them for please? New kitchen going in and not sure how to best use this one.”

And it seemed there was one overall view that won out, as many said they used the cupboard for their herbs and spices.

One wrote: “I use for sauces and spices x,” while another added: “I got 2 keep my herbs and spices in them.”

A third chimed in: “I put herbs and spices jars in mine.”

Despite this, many also had other uses for them.

One wrote: “I keep my alcohol bottles in mine.”

While another added: “We’ve got one either side of our sink. It’s got bleach, detox spray etc in one and tea towel (on a rail) and dishwasher stuff the other side.”

A third said offered: “I keep my tin foil, cellophane etc. in the bottom and plastic bags (food bags) of different sizes in the top.”

However, it seems like one Facebook user had the “real” use for them after all, as they said: “We were told by magnet they are wine racks!”

Despite this, the person added: “We put our spices and oils in them.”

Mrs Hinch fans often share handy hints in the group to help others out.

They recently suggested a £3 solution to easily get mould and mildew off shower too.
