When Calls the Heart spoilers and updates tease that Gracyn Shinyei suffered an injury at a playground and was rushed into the operating room for surgery. The young actress hopes that she can still film the show where she plays the role of Emily Montgomery.

Shinyei shared on her Instagram account about her injury.

“Not a great night at the playground last night. In to surgery in 15 min for some metal plates. Hope I can still film @wcth_tv Could have been much worse so I am grateful for that,” the young actress said.

She also expressed her gratitude towards her friend for helping her out. “Thanks to my bestie @julia_irelandd for calling for help and being there for me,” she said. Fans and friends were quick to send Shinyei their love including Pascale Hutton, Andrea Brooks, Ava Sleeth, and Jaiven Natt.

Fans are excited to see their favorite characters back in Hope Valley and many of them are wondering when they’ll see them again. The show has not released any official announcement yet but Erin Krakow hinted about a possible premiere date.

The actress hosted a question and answer session on her Instagram account. Krakow revealed some important details about the upcoming season 9 of the show. When asked about the return of When Calls the Heart, the actress hinted that the new season will air in “probably February 2022.”

When Calls The Heart usually premieres its new seasons in February. So, it’s possible that season 9 will premiere in the same month, too. Season 8 went on air on February 21 despite the coronavirus pandemic, which made the production more difficult. The first two seasons of the show, however, debuted in January and April. Seasons 3 to 8 all premiered in February. The upcoming season will have 12 episodes and the production for the new season started in Canada on July 21.
