SERAPHINA Watts is most famously known as the daughter of the late English drummer Charles “Charlie” Watts.
It was announced on August 24, 2021 that Seraphina’s father passed away at the age of 80.
Who is Charlie Watts’ daughter Seraphina Watts?
Born March 18, 1968, Seraphina, 52, is the only daughter of the late Rolling Stones drummer and his wife Shirley.
Charlie was known for keeping his private life exactly that and was able to keep Seraphina out of the spotlight as a child.
It was reported that Seraphina spent some time in a boarding school but allegedly got kicked out due to smoking marijuana a few years after enrollment.
When Seraphina got older, she married a lawyer named Nick and had a child; Charlie’s only grandchild.
It was reported that the two parted ways and as of 2017, Ultimate Classic Rock reports that she married Barry Catmur and was residing in a $1.5million farmhouse in Rhode Island.
What was Charlie Watts’ cause of death?
Charlie’s publicist said in a statement that said the musician, “passed away peacefully in a London hospital earlier today surrounded by his family.”
Despite his death being confirmed, a cause was not released.
“Charlie was a cherished husband, father and grandfather and also as a member of The Rolling Stones one of the greatest drummers of his generation,” the statement continued.
It was released earlier this year that Charlie would be missing the Rolling Stones 2021 U.S. “No Filter” tour to recover from an emergency heart operation but it is unknown if it played a roll in his death.
At the time, a spokesperson revealed to Variety that, “Charlie has had a procedure which was completely successful, but his doctors this week concluded that he now needs proper rest and recuperation.”
Who is Charlie Watts’ granddaughter?
While Charlie’s daughter Seraphina was able to stay out of the spotlight, her only daughter, Charlotte, 24, decided to take another path.
Charlotte went on to become a model and got her start with HELLO! Fashion Monthly, a UK-based magazine.
She is known for modeling designer and high street brands including Topshop, Christopher Kane, Bimba y Lola and Rag & Bone.
In a 2015 interview, Charlotte, discussed her relationship with her grandfather, who she calls Pa.
“We’re really proud of Pa,” she said. “He’s just so humble about it [fame]. He’s not all over the place, he’s just so damn cool.
“It would probably be a different story if we were being chased all the time… I can’t imagine what it must be like for Mick [Jagger].”
She also revealed that when she was 17, she toured with the band for a short period of time.
