Four years later, the actress married her Soul Food co-star Boris Kodjoe in May 2005 in Gundelfingen, Germany.
Kodjoe, 48, is an Austrian-born American actor, producer and former model.
The 48-year-old is best known for his roles as Kelby in the 2002 film Brown Sugar and the sports-courier agent Damon Carter on the Showtime drama series Soul Food.

Do they have children together?
The couple welcomed their first child, Sophie, before their marriage in March 2005.
Sophie was born with spina bifida, a severe condition that affects the spine and is usually apparent at birth.
Their daughter underwent successful surgery during which the doctors detached her spinal cord from a fatty mass called a lipoma.
Sophie is now 16-years-old.

Will Nicole Ari Parker star in the Sex and the City reboot?
Ari Parker, 50, has been billed to replace Kim Cattrall in the Sex and the City reboot after the backlash that accompanied the news that Cattral was done with the series.
The 50-year-old will reportedly replace Cattrall as the fourth member of the New York friend group.
Ari Parker will play Lisa Todd Wexley, a “Park Avenue mother of three”.
She shared a pic on Instagram of her co-stars, including Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, writing: “These beautiful beings.”
The Sex and the City reboot will be executive produced by three of the original show’s four main stars – Sarah Jessica Parker, Davis and Nixon – and writer Michael Patrick King.
Even during Sex and the City’s peak, there was a rumor of friction between cast members.
In a 2019 interview with The Guardian, Cattrall made it clear that she felt her association with the series was over.
“I went past the finish line playing Samantha Jones because I loved Sex and the City,” she said.
“It was a blessing in so many ways, but after the second movie, I’d had enough. I couldn’t understand why they wouldn’t just replace me with another actress instead of wasting time bullying. No means no.”
The Sex and the City reboot will launch on HBO Max; however, the exact release date of the limited series is still unknown.
