On August 7, xQc confirmed on Twitter he had broken up with his girlfriend, Sammy, a.k.a Adept. The post led many to question why the two split.
Over the years, xQc and Sammy have kept their relationship away from the spotlight. Even though the pair had been dating for a long time, it wasn’t until 2021 that they confirmed they were together. While fans were in love with the duo, their split has definitely left many shocked.

Why did xQc and Adept (Sammy) breakup?
In a tweet, xQc revealed he and Sammy broke up after having a fight.
He wrote: “Sammy left. I don’t want to talk it about that much. Me and Sammy got into a little bit of a fight. It is what it is. I don’t think we’re going to be, uh, seeing Sammy very often.”
At the moment, it is unclear why the two fought. Shortly after this, Sammy broke her silence on Twitter and confirmed she would be taking a break from social media.
Her tweet read: “React content will make a return in due time. I have to tie a few loose ends because I kind of went into shut down mode during a stressful period but I am ready to bring it back. Thanks for being patient and I look forward to expanding content beyond RP again.”
Following their announcement, some speculated that Sammy’s tweet hinted xQc abused her. However, she was quick to slam these rumors. Sammy wrote: “Spoke to @xQc about this tweet and apparently people are trying to use this tweet as an implication that Felix physically abused me in some way. That’s not okay. I will make it clear that didn’t happen and anyone accusing him of that will be blocked/reported. Be respectful.”
At the same time, xQc requested his followers for some privacy while asking users not to harass his ex-girlfriend.
The couple’s relationship explored
For a long time, fans assumed that xQc and Sammy were dating. However, time and again, the pair denied this. As per the streamers, they were just roommates.
Several people had grown fond of the pair as they were often spotted streaming together. At the same time, the connection between the two was hard to ignore. Their relationship finally came to light in March 2021 after xQc decided to place a kiss on Sammy’s forehead during a livestream.
The incident took place when Sammy was playing poker at the Diamond Casino & Resort on NoPixel’s GTA RP server. While the social media personality enjoyed her live stream, xQc walked up to her and hugged and kissed her. Moments later, he realized that the entire thing had been caught on live.
Shortly after this, the pair confirmed they were dating. However, they did not give the timeline of how they went from friends to partners. At the moment, it seems highly unlikely that the pair would be streaming together.
