When is the Met Gala 2021?
The Met Gala is Monday, September 13, 2021 and the theme is In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.
The event is at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and guests are expected to arrive around 5.30pm with parties late into the night.
The event will “explore American fashion” ranging from sportswear to contemporary designers, revealed in a press release in April.
Curator Andrew Bolton said, “Connections to our homes have become more emotional, as have those to our clothes. For American fashion, this had meant an increased emphasis on sentiment over practicality.”

It will “explore the development of American fashion by presenting narratives that relate to the complex and layered histories of those spaces.”
