There’s a job opening in Bachelor Nation and Lance Bass knows the perfect person to fill it: himself! Why does the former pop singer think he’s the right person to step in as permanent host of BIP? Keep reading to see if you agree with his qualifications.
Lance Bass Takes Over For David Spade In BIP Host Roulette
Bachelor In Paradise returned to television screens on August 16 with several new faces. Long-time host Chris Harrison left the franchise earlier this year after almost 20 years. The network sidelined Harrison back in February amid a firestorm surrounding Rachael Kirkconnell.
Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe stepped in as hosts of Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette. They will resume the role for Michelle Young’s season airing later this fall.
However, when it was time to find hosts for Season 7 of Bachelor In Paradise, the network stole a page from Jeopardy’s handbook. Instead of one or two hosts, there will be four rotating hosts, plus Wells Adams as the “master of ceremonies.”
BIP Season 7 kicked off with comedian David Spade as host for the first two episodes. After his dramatic departure, the contestants will get a new host for the next few episodes. NSYNC member Lance Bass is the second host in rotation.

Lance Bass was a guest on Us Weekly’s Here For The Right Reasons podcast. How does “all the girls” knowing Lance Bass make him the perfect choice for host? According to the singer, the female contestants will feel “safe” with him due to being fans since they were kids.
Additionally, Lance feels that being gay is another plus for his hosting qualifications.
He calls the hosting gig his “dream job,” but also acknowledges that fans miss Chris Harrison. Whether permanent or temporary, Lance Bass hopes to “do [the fans] right” as host.
