The Canal Shores Invitational is an annual celebration for first responders, and this year’s event was hosted by Joel Murray of Dharma & Greg. The actress explained to TVLine that the showrunners of the series allowed her to miss the live premiere in order for her to attend the event. “Unfortunately, the event was canceled last year due to COVID, and it just so happened that it fell during the live show this year,” she said. “I was very torn,” Lecy continued, “because I love the show and it’s my job — and I did miss my Conners family very much.”

But I was overjoyed to be able to attend the charity event. “This was my third year, and it’s just a wonderful thing to be а pаrt of.”
