Woman has revealed how she went on a seven-day “Wife Strike” after her husband sensationally claimed he was the only one who cleaned their home.
Florida mum Jalie Vil documented her week in a series of TikTok videos, saying she was going to teach her spouse “a lesson” by refusing to do any chores.

“Nope, not cleaning,” she said.
In the TikToks, Vil showed how her house fared when only her husband was doing any housework – and it isn’t pretty.
In one video, Vil showed how her laundry had become filled to the brim with dirty clothes, with hardly any flooring visible in the room.
In another scene, the wife points out how her husband had frustratingly left a half-used roll of toilet paper on top of an empty roll instead of changing it.
She also claimed that half of their couch had become overrun with clean clothes waiting to be folded and put away.
Vil then recorded how she had left her side of the bathroom vanity sparkling clean – however his was piled up with mess.
Even when he cleaned up the basin a day later, he bizarrely left cleaning products on the counter – as well as a few used cotton buds.
Other footage shows the garbage bin piled up with rubbish and shoes and socks left on the floor.
She also documented how messy their toilet was on day three, with cleaning solution spills and a toilet brush lying on the phone.
And while he claimed that their toddler had created the bathroom mess, Vil noted that he didn’t take the time to clean it up.
Throughout the week, the husband did make some attempt to tidy up various rooms – however by end of the week, Vil decided to extend her strike.
“Since the areas of concern have not been addressed the wife strike must continue,” she wrote in one recent caption.
TikTok users urged Vil to “stay strong” and not give in until her husband “admits he was wrong”.
“The strike continues: AS IT SHOULD,” said one.
Added another: “Girl, good for you. Hopefully he will learn and change and y’all can move forward as a team eventually.”
Said a third: “Is he a walking tornado? That laundry gives me anxiety.”
Wrote one more: “I went on ‘strike’ a few times because my husband said the ‘the laundry does itself’. I’m happily divorced now.”
