Woman transforms drab city garden into a mediterranean wonderland using a splash of yellow paint

A CREATIVE couple, who showcase their incredible design skills on TikTok, showed off an eye-catching garden transformation.

The dramatic garden glows up is just the sunshine we need when the summer doesn’t deliver.

Before they started work on the garden it was a small, uninspiring patio

Charlotte Violet and her fiance Dave Sharpe upload videos of their handiwork to TikTok.

When they bought the 800 square foot Victorian townhouse, the garden was drab and dull with aging furniture and no color.

The couple started by painting the outside of the house a vibrant yellow, injecting some color and brightness into the space.

Then they dressed the boho space with plenty of plants and some finishing touches.

The space includes an on-trend firepit, a blue hammock, hanging chairs, and an outdoor projector for watching movies.

Speaking to Apartment Therapy, Charlotte said: “We love chilling out in our home, watching films on the outdoor projector, lazing in the hammock and hanging chairs, cozying up by the indoor and outdoor fireplace/firepit, and most recently showering in our new outdoor shower in our tropical-style garden! Of course, there’s always a cat to hang out with, too!”

The couple tackled the project together, with Charlotte even weaving the swing herself.

She said: “I also made a macramé swing for my garden myself, and I’m pretty proud of that, too!”

The warm, tropical space is popular with both their friends and social media followers.

Charlotte said: “I often get told that our home looks so tropical, so I think that makes it unique—people often don’t believe me when they see our garden that I live in the UK!”
