Woman’s sweater hack encourages people to wear their cardigans upside down

Fashion stylist Christie Moeller has shared her ‘sweater hack’ online which encourages people to try wearing their cardigans upside down for a fun new look in the colder months

Cosy cardigans are about to be everywhere as the weather chills and autumn rolls around.

Some people love them and want to wear them with everything, while others might find them to be a little unflattering or not so chic.

If you’re in the latter category then we might have a simple fashion hack that could change your mind.

Stylist Christie Moeller has gone viral on TikTok after sharing a sweater trick for making cardigans look completely different.

Christie claims all you have to do to transform your outfit and give it a little more flair is flip your cardigan upside down and wear it that way.

Yes, really. Upside down.

She explains in a video: “The sweater hack you need to know this season.

“I love a good cosy knit, but sometimes they make you feel a bit frumpy and Mr Rodgers-y, here’s how you can change that, it’s seriously so easy.

“All you’re gonna do is flip that sweater upside down. Yep, flip that script.”

She adds: “It creates this cute, cropped look and it works with long sweaters too.

“You’re totally flipping out right?!”

More than 300,000 people watched Christie’s clip, with hundreds commenting to share their thoughts.

One person said: “This is cute.”

Another wrote: “The way I ran to my closet. Totally works! Thank you!”

Someone else replied: “Did you just change my life?”

A fourth proclaimed: “Tried it and not gonna lie looks pretty dope, I just hope people won’t notice.”

While someone else added: “Wait… WHAT???! Running to my closet!”

Other people didn’t understand what Christie meant by putting it on upside down and requested she do another video, showing it once again much more slowly.

The stylist has since made a follow-up with a simple step-by-step guide for those who need it. You can find it on her TikTok under the username @christiemoeller.
