The missing person case of Heidi Broussard that turned into a murder case is an example of that. <em>Dateline NBC<\/em> is covering her story, but what exactly happened to her?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/woman-found-dead-baby-found-alive-believed-linked\/story?id=67848247\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Heidi Broussard<\/a> was a young Texas mother who had just given birth to her second child in Dec. 2019. Clearly loved by many, her mysterious disappearance and charged killing were devastating to everyone around her. And although her new baby girl was found alive, the story of Heidi Broussard is still a tragic one. Here\u2019s what happened.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"\">\n<h2 class=\"roqdnd-1 bGVCdJ\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Heidi_Broussard_and_her_infant_daughter_went_missing_in_Dec_2019\"><\/span>Heidi Broussard and her infant daughter went missing in Dec. 2019.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<div class=\"roqdnd-0 gMmyyp\">\n<p>After Broussard gave birth to baby Margot on Nov. 25, they both went missing on Dec. 12. She had last been seen dropping off either her son or her fiance\u2019s child at school that same day, but never returned home. All her belongings and her car were at her apartment in Austin, Tex., and there was no sign of a struggle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"roqdnd-0 gMmyyp\">\n<p>Authorities and Broussard\u2019s fianc\u00e9, Shane Carey, were perplexed. Where could they be? Because of this shocking twist, Carey was even more devastated and perplexed but was able to help authorities figure out her motive. Although Broussard was no longer alive when she was found, baby Margot was luckily safe and sound.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"sc-1o6mqs2-0 jRAIxB\">\n<p>Article continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"\">\n<h2 class=\"roqdnd-1 bGVCdJ\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Broussards_longtime_%E2%80%9Cfriend%E2%80%9D_was_quickly_named_the_main_suspect_in_her_kidnapping\"><\/span>Broussard\u2019s longtime \u201cfriend\u201d was quickly named the main suspect in her kidnapping.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<div class=\"roqdnd-0 gMmyyp\">\n<p>In a surprising twist of events, Broussard\u2019s body was found in the car trunk of her friend, <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/shocking-details-alleged-heidi-broussard-baby-margot-kidnapping\/story?id=67926902\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Magen Fieramusca<\/a>. According to reports, she had been acting like she was pregnant with her own child. She announced a pregnancy at the same time as Broussard and even created her own baby registry on Amazon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<figure class=\"sc-3h89rs-0 kEbUqP\">\n<div width=\"1200\" class=\"sc-3h89rs-1 kszTOo\">\n<div class=\"sc-3h89rs-2 aXjWN\"><\/div>\n<p><span>Source: Harris County Sheriff&#8217;s Dept.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<div class=\"sc-1o6mqs2-0 jRAIxB\">\n<p>Article continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"roqdnd-0 gMmyyp\">\n<p>Fieramusca claimed that she delivered her own daughter shortly after Broussard with no one else present. However, when authorities asked Fieramusca where she delivered the baby, she \u201ccouldn\u2019t remember\u201d the name of the hospital or facility. <\/p>\n<p>Her ex-boyfriend, Christopher Green, believed that she gave birth to his child, but when authorities showed him the photo of baby Margot, he confirmed, \u201cThat&#8217;s the baby at my house.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"roqdnd-0 gMmyyp\">\n<p>From there, investigators were able to actually smell the &#8220;immediate and unmistakable odor of decomposing flesh&#8221; coming from Fieramusca\u2019s Nissan Versa, which led them to Broussard\u2019s body stuffed inside a black duffel bag in the trunk.
