Amanda Seyfried took time out Friday night to honor her “Big Love” co-star Bill Paxton, who died of a post-surgery stroke in 2017 at the age of 61.

“Bill and me,” Seyfried, 35, began her caption of a photo of the pair on-set of the former HBO series.

“Sorting through the thousands of photos I’ve packed away over the years has been mostly fun but every once in a while I find one that brings me to my knees,” she continued. “I got so lucky to know this man and feel his bright, warm light so often while playing his daughter on Big Love. He was wonderful and so deeply loved and I miss him.”

Paxton and Seyfried co-starred on the polygamy drama from 2006 to 2011.

The late actor — who also appeared in “Aliens,” “Twister” and “Apollo 13″ — died of complications from surgery for an aneurysm that resulted in a stroke. Soon after, his family filed a wrongful death suit against Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and the surgeon, Dr. Ali Khoynezhad, who operated on Paxton.

“Bill Paxton and his family trusted the physicians and staff at this medical facility but instead Cedars-Sinai betrayed their trust,” the family’s attorney Bruce Broillet said in a statement at the time. “The surgeon’s actions resulted in this tragic and preventable death.”

Khoynezhad and the hospital claimed in court documents, however, that the film and television star was “aware of certain dangers and risks involved” adding the claim that Paxton had “an existing condition” that made him susceptible to complications.

Seyfried also praised her co-star upon first hearing news of his passing.

“He was an amazing and supportive father figure to me in my early career,” Seyfried told People at the time. “Incredibly inspired and full of life at every turn, he made you feel like everything was possible. This is a terrible loss.”
