Marvel\u2019s Spidey and His Amazing Friends<\/i> is returning to Disney Junior for a second season. The first season debuted on August 6th and is still airing. The series follows Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy, and Miles Morales as they work with the likes of Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and others to battle major Marvel villains. The voice cast includes Benjamin Valic, Jakari Fraser, Lily Sanfelippo, Sandra Saad, Tru Valentino, Armen Taylor, Nicolas Roye, Melanie Minichino, Dee Bradley Baker, Kelly Ohanian, JP Karliak, and Justin Shenkarow.<\/p>\n

Disney Junior revealed more about the renewal of the animated preschool series in a press release.<\/p>\n

\u201cA second season of Marvel\u2019s Spidey and his Amazing Friends<\/i>, the first full-length Marvel series for preschoolers, has been greenlit into production after its impressive debut on Disney Channel, Disney Junior and DisneyNOW earlier this month. The first seven episodes will be available Wednesday, Sept. 22<\/b>, on Disney+, and new episodes will continue to roll out Fridays on Disney Channel (9:00 a.m. EDT\/PDT) and Disney Junior (12:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. EDT\/PDT).<\/p>\n

Since launch, Marvel\u2019s Spidey and his Amazing Friends<\/i> ranks as the #1 series on Disney Junior, the Disney Junior block on Disney Channel with kids 2-5, and on DisneyNOW. Series content has garnered nearly 84 million views and over 2.3 million watch time hours across Disney Junior and Marvel HQ YouTube channels.<\/p>\n

Joe D\u2019Ambrosia, senior vice president, Original Programming and general manager, Disney Junior, said, \u201cAfter just a week and a half into the launch of \u2018Marvel\u2019s Spidey and his Amazing Friends,\u2019 we are already seeing how well the series is resonating with preschoolers and their families. With this season two order, we\u2019re excited to continue our collaboration with Marvel and bring even more stories of friendship and cooperation, and of course, exciting adventures with Team Spidey, to our young audience.\u201d<\/p>\n

Extensions for the series include an assortment of children\u2019s books from Disney Publishing Worldwide and the upcoming \u201cMy First Comic\u201d from Marvel Press; playsets, figures, apparel, plush, home d\u00e9cor and more from shopDisney.com and licensees including Hasbro, Centric Brands, General Mills and more; and a digital soundtrack \u201cDisney Junior Music: Spidey and His Amazing Friends\u201d from Walt Disney Records, releasing Sept. 17.<\/p>\n

Marvel\u2019s Spidey and his Amazing Friends<\/i> follows the adventures of Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy and Miles Morales as they team up with Hulk, Ms. Marvel and Black Panther to defeat foes like Rhino, Doc Ock and Green Goblin and learn that teamwork is the best way to save the day. Geared towards preschoolers and their families, the Spidey Team models the importance of helping others and highlights themes of friendship, cooperation and problem-solving. The season one voice cast includes Benjamin Valic (\u201cSonic the Hedgehog\u201d) as Peter Parker, Lily Sanfelippo (Disney Junior\u2019s The Chicken Squad<\/i>) as Gwen Stacy and Jakari Fraser (Ben Is Back<\/i>) as Miles Morales.<\/p>\n

For season one, Harrison Wilcox (Marvel\u2019s Avengers: Black Panther\u2019s Quest<\/i>) is executive producer, Steve Grover (\u201cHello Ninja\u201d) is supervising producer, Chris Moreno (Disney Junior\u2019s Muppet Babies<\/i>) is supervising director, Chris Gilligan (Disney Junior\u2019s T.O.T.S.<\/i>) is consulting director and Bart Jennett (\u201cGigantosaurus\u201d) is story editor. Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy) is the series\u2019 composer and also performs the theme song. The series is produced by Disney Junior and Marvel Entertainment in association with Atomic Cartoons.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
