Prominent animal rights activist Tash Peterson has taken to a Louis Vuitton store wearing nothing but underwear and her own period blood. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The 27-year-old held a sign that read, \u201cI would rather be naked than wear someone else\u2019s skin\u201d as she entered the designer store in Perth on Saturday. <\/p>\n
\u201cWho was murdered for your leather bag, down jacket and woollen jumper?\u201d she said while walking through the store, which was packed full of shoppers. <\/p>\n
Within moments however, she was intercepted by a male worker, who tried ushering her into a corner and removing the camera of the person filming. <\/p>\n
More staff then intervened and her sign was torn in half, but her protest continued. <\/p>\n
\u201cIf you\u2019re not vegan, you\u2019re an animal abuser. Louis Vuitton are responsible for the murder of cows, sheep, goats, foxes, minks, ducks and geese,\u201d she told shocked onlookers. <\/p>\n
\u201cLouis Vuitton have blood on their hands, and so do you if you\u2019re not vegan,\u201d she continued. <\/p>\n
\u201cAnimals are not clothing, they\u2019re not food, entertainment, commodities, machines or objects.\u201d <\/p>\n
Staff continued trying to herd her out of the store, while some shoppers laughed and one even yelled, \u201ckill yourself\u201d. <\/p>\n
Ms Peterson circled the shop multiple times before eventually walking back out the door. <\/p>\n
The stunt was her first back in Western Australia after she temporarily relocated to Melbourne, executing several lingerie protests with fellow vegan activist Stefania Ferrario.<\/p>\n
There were widespread reports Ms Peterson had been kicked out of WA, however she was granted entry two weeks ago after initially having several G2G passes knocked back. <\/p>\n
The reports came after the staged a protest in a restaurant and was subsequently banned from every licensed venue in WA. <\/p>\n
She said she has returned to appear in court for other charges, with one date set for early October and the other for December. <\/p>\n
