A heartbroken mum has spoken of her pain after a doctor, who was a fellow patient in a maternity ward, allegedly dropped her newborn baby from a third floor window at a hospital.<\/p>\n
Viktoria Ivanova, 34, has revealed the haunting trauma after Dr Alina Araslanova, 29, allegedly grabbed her hours old son Volodya in Sterlitamak, Russia, The Sun <\/a><\/i>reports. <\/p>\n Dr Araslanova \u2013 also a patient on the ward \u2013 allegedly walked over to Viktoria\u2019s bed and grabbed the newborn just hours after his birth.<\/p>\n Viktoria reportedly had left the room for a moment, and for \u201cno apparent reason\u201d the other woman snatched the child.<\/p>\n The medic has been detained and her new daughter, her second child, removed from her care as investigators seek to understand her motive.<\/p>\n Dance teacher Viktoria has two other children and is desperately trying to keep going for them.<\/p>\n But she told how in the aftermath of baby Volodya\u2019s death she and her husband had suffered \u201cpain, despair, grief, and denial\u201d.<\/p>\n Bravely speaking about her ordeal, Viktoria said: \u201cWe sobbed and couldn\u2019t sleep at all. <\/p>\n \u201cAnd then we realised that in such a short period our Volodya had taught us to value and love even more. <\/p>\n RELATED: Doctor\u2019s errors as multiple babies died<\/b><\/p>\n \u201cHim, each other, and our children, and life in general. We do not hold evil, and forgive everyone, the maternity hospital, the doctors and this deranged woman who was with me in intensive care.\u201d<\/p>\n As the days rolled on since the tragedy, Viktoria has admitted her suffering has become even more acute, saying \u201cthe hardest thing is to wake up in the morning and realise this is the reality\u201d.<\/p>\n She went on: \u201cI try to hold on for the sake of our children, but it doesn\u2019t always work out. <\/p>\n \u201cThis feeling will not disappear, I will have to live with this all my life.<\/p>\n \u201cI have been killed with my child, I will never be the same. My children are deprived of a loved one, a little brother. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m afraid to imagine what is happening inside my kids now \u2013 they know the whole truth. <\/p>\n \u201cEverything we do in life has become so meaningless, the daily routine, work \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n Initially she and her husband Denis \u2013 a 36-year-old psychologist \u2013 had publicly forgiven the woman who allegedly killed their son when he was just hours old.<\/p>\n But now the increasingly distraught Viktoria asked: \u201cWhere were you God when all this happened? How do you allow such things in the world? <\/p>\n \u201cWhere do people come from who do such things? What is wrong with this world? I have no answers to these questions.\u201d<\/p>\n She thanked the many people who had sent messages of sympathy to her, but admits she is a long road and it is hard to cope with the trauma.<\/p>\n \u201cPerhaps, all is not lost in this world. But I still cannot see anyone. My condition, both physical and mental, doesn\u2019t allow it,\u201d Viktoria said.<\/p>\n \u201cBut in time I must come out and talk to people, not to shut down. They say in 40 days it will become easier. For now, it\u2019s hard to cope mentally with this. <\/p>\n \u201cI miss my baby, I love him. I hope he is doing well there.\u201d<\/p>\n Two days after her baby was killed, Viktoria has penned \u201cthe most important and sincere post in my life\u201d.<\/p>\n She told how Volodyr was a \u201cvery long-awaited baby for both me and my husband, and our children. <\/p>\n \u201cWe all wanted to have another child to increase the love and happiness in our family\u201d.<\/p>\n Despite fears, her caesarean on August 16 had gone well and she called her husband and her other children to show him the new baby \u2013 only for him to be taken from them.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was the most terrible and nightmarish day in our lives,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Their decision to \u201cforgive\u201d the woman, and the hospital, for not providing security, was widely reported. <\/p>\n They held a farewell ceremony for their tragic little baby. <\/p>\n \u201cWe will not write a statement to the court, because our Volodya is about great and sincere love,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cEvil cannot be defeated by evil. I am so happy that I managed to take one photo of him as a keepsake.\u201d<\/p>\n She added: \u201cI am still a mother of three.
