FANS of the Curry basketball dynasty were shocked to hear the matriarch and patriarch of the famous family are getting divorced.<\/p>\n

News broke in August 2021 that NBA hero\u00a0Stephen Curry’s\u00a0mom and dad Sonya and Dell have split for good.<\/p>\n

According to reports Sonya has started a new relationship following the breakdown of her marriage.<\/p>\n

It is also alleged the former power couple have both reportedly made accusations of cheating against each other, according to TMZ<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The outlet says they have had access to the couple’s divorce papers were Sonya admitted she’s “dating another man”, but said it “didn’t start until months after she and Dell agreed to legally separate”.<\/p>\n

Sonya or Dell are yet to respond to these claims.<\/p>\n

Although there are reports of alleged cheating, the couple told reporters they are divorcing after having a trial separation.<\/p>\n

The pair had been married for over three decades before announcing their split.<\/p>\n

Sonya and Dell released a statement to\u00a0People<\/a>\u00a0about their decision to file for divorce, saying: \u201cAfter exploring a trial separation over the past year and much thoughtful consideration, we have decided to end our marriage.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAs this comes with a great deal of sadness, our focus and desire is for our family’s continued happiness.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“We are so thankful for all the many blessings and successes!\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe stay committed to and supportive of our children and grandchildren and will remain on connected paths.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Adding: \u201cWe ask that our privacy be respected and prayer for our family as we move forward.”<\/p>\n

As the couple met in the 80s it is not known who else Sonya has dated. <\/p>\n

The pair met at Virginia Tech University while she was doing a recruiting visit to the school.<\/p>\n

Curry and Dell married in 1988 while he was playing in the\u00a0NBA.<\/p>\n
