The miniseries features a lineup of Latin-American voice actors, as well as some of the best animation. On top of this, the Netflix Original blends Aztec, Inca and Maya mythology. It also includes a touch of modern-day Caribbean culture in a colorful and fun way.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Maya_and_the_Three_animated_Netflix_Original_miniseries\"><\/span><em>Maya and the Three<\/em> animated Netflix Original miniseries<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Jorge R Gutierrez directed and created <em>Maya and the Three<\/em>, while the production is by Tangent Animation and Mexoplis. Here, the world is turned by magic and the lands are ruled by the four kingdoms. Meanwhile, the animated miniseries tells the story of a brave and rebellious Mesoamerican-inspired warrior princess named Maya. She is about to celebrate her fifteenth birthday and her coronation.<\/p>\n<p>However, everything changes when the gods of the underworld arrive. The gods announce that Maya\u2019s life is forfeit to the God of War. This is apparently the price she must pay for her family\u2019s secret past. Moreover, if she refuses, the whole world will suffer from the gods\u2019 vengeance. Maya then embarks on a thrilling quest to fulfill an ancient prophecy and save her beloved family, her friends and her own life. Meanwhile, the ancient prophecy foretells the coming of three great warriors, who will help Maya defeat the gods and save humankind.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Cast_of_the_animated_miniseries\"><\/span>Cast of the animated miniseries<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Among the cast of <em>Maya and the Three,<\/em> Zoe Saldana <em>(Avatar, Star Trek, Guardians of the Galaxy)<\/em> voices Maya. The Widow Queen is voiced by Isabela Merced <em>(Transformers: The Last Knight, \u00a0\u00a0Instant Family, Dora and the Lost City of Gold)<\/em>. On top of this, there is a lineup of other stars.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"When_does_Maya_and_the_Three_premiere_on_Netflix\"><\/span>When does <em>Maya and the Three<\/em> premiere on Netflix?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>While the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.netflix.com\/es-en\/title\/80244283\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">streaming channel<\/a> has announced that the animated miniseries will arrive this fall, it has yet to announce the actual release date. However, Netflix has confirmed that there will be a total of nine episodes.
