Taking to Reddit, the disgruntled guest shared a snap of their bill after being charged for themselves and a plus one.<\/p>\n
The bill was listed for the service of \u201cWedding Reception Dinner (No Show)\u201d with the unit price being $120 (\u00a390) and the quantity of two.<\/p>\n
The description read: \u201cThis invoice is being sent to you because you confirmed seat(s) at the wedding reception during the Final Headcount.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe amount above is the cost of your individual seats.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause you didn\u2019t call or give proper notice that you wouldn\u2019t be in attendance, this amount is what you owe us for paying for your seat(s) in advance.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou can pay via Zelle or PayPal. Please reach out to us and let us know which method of payment works for you. Thank you!\u201d<\/p>\n
The post prompted a mixed response on Reddit, with many slamming the bride as \u201cpetty\u201d.<\/p>\n
One wrote: \u201cAccepting a wedding invite isn\u2019t entering into a legal contract with each other. A social contract, sure, but this is just tacky. It\u2019s a party (during a pandemic). Stuff happens.\u201d<\/p>\n
