Yellowstone Prequel 1883 Started Production

The prequel news comes after a premiere date of Season 4 finally arrived. Actually, fans hoped for a July premiere. However, that never happened, so fans focused on August and still nothing came.  Well, the news eventually came that it premieres on Sunday, November 7. So, fans don’t need to wait much longer for the popular show. Fans know that John Dutton was gunned down at the end of the last season. Well, a new teaser for the show revealed that he’s still alive, but faces someone who wants terrible revenge.

While fans await Season 4, news comes out about the Yellowstone Prequel 1883. It brings great actors like Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill. The show features Sam Elliot as Shea Brenna, a cowboy who will guide the family in the Yellowstone prequel. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill act as the matriarch and patriarch of the family. It promises to be an action-gripping tale as they drive their 30 wagons across the wilderness. An entire town was created especially for the set.

Yellowstone Prequel 1883 Gets Huge Budget

Deadline reported this week, that the pilot films in Fort Worth, TX. EP and 101 Studios CEO David Glasser spoke about it. He said that it’s reminiscent of frontier classics like Lonesome Dove, Last of the Mohicans, and Dances With Wolves. The outlet noted, “the budget of 1883 costs more than what’s spent on the slickly produced Yellowstone.”  Well, it’s a massive responsibility for Taylor Sheridan, but it speaks volumes about his recognized talent.

According to Cinemanblend, Yellowstone Prequel 1883 gets more money for authenticity. They reported, “Considering Taylor Sheridan signed what is reportedly a nine-figure deal with ViacomCBS earlier this year to expand their partnership, it’s certainly no surprise that he’s getting more money and leeway to do what he wants creatively.” Well, clearly the success of Yellowstone, which ranked at the top of cable ratings justifies allowing Taylor to expand his horizons.

Yellowstone Spoilers – Much More From Sheridan

Deadline predicted that Taylor Sheridan might become the “cornerstone show creator for Paramount+.” Mayor of Kingstown arrives on November 14. Apparently, three other Sherdian dramas already started being written or reached the casting stage. Paramount fans expect a lot from Yellowstone 1883, and with a massive budget likely they get exactly what they want from it.  After all, they already saw plenty of excellent scenes created with much less money.
